ADDITIONAL FOOD SAFETY ACCREDITATIONS FOR OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITY

This month, we have renewed our British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification and achieved ‘AA’ status, the highest possible achievement for food manufacturers.
This latest accreditation recognises our commitment to going above and beyond the quality requirements in food safety across a range of benchmarks throughout our portfolio of sports nutrition products.
Further international standards have also been achieved following separate audits in recent weeks that have seen us renew our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 22000 certifications. Both assure global food & beverage quality standards and play a vital role in ensuring quality and transparency from raw ingredients through to manufacture, finished products and onward supply chains.
The company’s renewed accreditations follow an extensive audit process and stringent inspection of our warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution centre in Liverpool, which audited how every stage in producing our products meets and exceeds the highest international standards.
Already operating under the Informed Sport accreditation, a global certification programme that tests for banned substances in sports nutrition products, these latest accreditations further reinforce our commitment to trust, transparency, safety and security.
Gareth Powell, Applied Nutrition’s Technical Manager said:
“Our recent audits scrutinised everything, from goods-in to despatch, artwork, finished products, and working conditions.
“The BRC standard provides a framework for the management of our total facility, HACCP plan, and product and process control measures that safeguards product quality, safety and legality. Ultimately, we want to ensure that our loyal consumers get the best out of every Applied Nutrition product that they purchase.
“Quality accreditations are a non-stop and ongoing commitment, and maintaining our ‘AA’ standard requires us to continue to apply best practice in all areas across the company.”
Steve Granite, Applied Nutrition Chief Operating Officer said:
“The business has remained true to its goal of superior product quality and customer trust, something that the Senior Management has an unwavering commitment to.
“The ‘AA’ grade certification is fantastic recognition of the efforts made in every area of the business as we continue to develop category leading sports nutrition products”.
