International BMX star Shaun Gornall Joins Applied's athlete team

Welcome to the team Shaun Gornall! One of the UK's best BMX freestyle riders and ranked among the top 10 in the world.

Shaun competes globally in the UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup and is training hard to make the cut and represent Team GB at next year’s Paris Olympics.

In Paris, BMX Freestyle is making its second appearance after its thrilling debut at Tokyo 2020 which showed the world the fierce competition and incredible skills needed to compete at the elite level of this astonishing sport, wowing spectators and the millions watching on TV.

This year, Shaun and the world’s best riders are in full preparation mode as they have their sights firmly set on claiming the sport’s second-ever Olympic gold medal at Paris 24.

We’re supporting Shaun with a range of products for him to use in training and competition to support stamina, energy and recovery.

Perfecting some of the highly complex tricks Shaun needs to land successfully can take hundreds, sometimes thousands of attempts before he’s ready to use them in competition, making BMX freestyle an incredibly physically and mentally draining sport.

Our job is to make sure Shaun’s fuelled correctly throughout this training where he’ll spend hours every day on the ramps working as part of his Olympic and World Cup preparations.
